After Bass Player Joel Hughes joined Guitarist Jack Flynn and Drummer Lauren Greaves in Jan 2018, the trio have been working through an ever expanding gig radius across the UK, playing packed supports for the likes of The Blinders, Calva Louise, BlackWaters, Childcare, Avalanche Party and Demob Happy.
Championed by BBC Introducing Sheffield and winners of Pirate Studios’ National Live Session competition, FloodHounds were joint winners of Sensoria Festival’s songwriting composition award, which was presented to the band by steel city icon Richard Hawley. Other highlights include a debut international gig at iconic Parisian venue Supersonic, and slots at festivals such as Liverpool Sound City, Tramlines Fringe & Isle Of Wight Festival.
GigSlutz called FloodHounds latest release, ‘Take It Too Far’ a “psychedelia-packed beast of a tune”.
“A thunderous, delightfully messy mix of indie, garage-rock, blues and grunge” – Pirate Studios
