Melody Of Life

£19.99

Reissued in 1999 on the 20 year anniversary of the original release. Please note: no date or reissue credit appears on the record. However considering sequential order of ‘S’ codes from the pressing company ‘Rainbo Records’ catalogue this is likely to have been pressed and released in 1999. A small sticker on the back of the sleeve denotes “Manufactured by Rhino Records and exclusively distributed by Scorpio Music, Inc.” This pressing on thick 180 gram vinyl, is housed in a glossy high quality printed cardboard sleeve. The sleeve artwork replicates the original release with no barcode. This reissue should not be confused with the almost identical 1979 original release, as it shows an additional credit ‘distributed by TK Productions, Inc.’ underneath the ‘cat’ logo on the wax labels. This information does not appear on the original 1978 release. The sleeve is manufactured with modern printed white card. Unlike the original which is printed paper, paste over thick card sleeve. Another clear difference are the runout inscriptions on the vinyls. The actual runout inscription on each side of this reissue vinyl are as follows: (A side runout, hand-etched): 5032 TK 2614-1(A) S37#984 REI Dc Bqs (B side runout, hand-etched): 5032 TK 2614 S37985 REI Dc Bqs Please note: – the # references a number ‘8’ (typo error) that is struck out. – no reference (possibly a typo error) to side ‘(B)’ on the B-Side inscription. – The number ‘1’ and letter ‘I’ (a capital i ??) are indistinguishable, as both characters are inscribed as ‘I’. Therefore It’s quite possible whichever way it is interpreted REI could actually be RE1 (or vice versa) It should be assumed in consideration of the above info (and possiblity of later unauthorised re-pressings), this wax is a first generation press of this reissue.
