Sticky Fingers

£65.00

First UK edition does not have the inscription “A Promotone N.V. RECORD” on labels. Promotone company was founded only a few months later in September 1971 (Amsterdam, Netherlands), while the album “Sticky Fingers” was released in April 1971. The zipper on front cover is completely blank with 2 indented lines. This kind of zip is made of far higher quality of metal of the usual ones, and is easy to spot & date – when compared to similar clothing zips made in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It is a very early made one. A3/B3 matrix is the lower known matrix for this release. Sleeve opened at both top and bottom. After jeans with a real metal zipper on front that unzips to reveal a man in cotton briefs. The set contains also an insert with a pic of the Band on one side and credits & lyrics on the other side. Insert says “Printed in England by Richard Davis Ltd.” The runouts are stamped except for “T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS” which is etched.
